Around 10:35 p.m., local police and fire departments responded to multiple emergency calls reporting a serious crash near the funeral home and Cumberland Farms. First responders arrived at 244 Russells Mills Road to find a small silver sedan—believed to be a Hyundai or Honda—severely damaged after crashing into a telephone pole.
Eyewitnesses described a harrowing scene. One bystander, Adam C. Bowen, recounted the dangers of the curvy road. “That road is dangerous especially on a bike. I went into the other lane unintentionally and thank God nobody was coming. I go slow now on the curvy side,” he said.
